Re: Halloween Costumes!

I probably won't finish it in time for Halloween but I kind of want to do another of Christine's costumes from Phantom of the Opera (mine's the phantom secret today.)

But I doubt I'll have time to finish or even make a serious dent in one before Halloween, since they're so labor-intensive, although I have materials and supplies already. Just afraid to destruct-test my elderly embroidery machine doing the Aminta embroidery.

Maybe if I shell out to go to one of the last performances, I can finish before January, and if not that, SDCC 2023. Trying to fit the next one on my list in a carry-on would be a neat trick.

Also Sandman's been eating my brain and I kind of want to do a more elaborate take on Morpheus' robes based on the comics, but again, it'd be a massive project, and would need skills I don't even have yet to do my ideas justice. Plus, I can at least corset myself into sort of the right shape for Christine, despite being fat. I know Dream has a zillion different forms, but I am the physical opposite of a scrawny goth twink. Never been great at sculpture, so idk if I'd commission a helm or not. Wish Netflix/DC/WB would authorize more merch and do replicas; I could mod an existing helmet, I think.

Will probably just pull one of my many many extant costumes, Phantom or otherwise, out and dust it off, or put together something from the wigs wings masks etc pile. Work is doing a Thriller dance mob, but it's a couple days before Halloween so I may do zombie makeup for that.
