same, anon. an old group of friends had a horror film night once and I pretty much hid my face the whole time or distracted myself with something else. I hate jump scares and they are the worst with the scare chord (that violent violin screech).

I've never watched Try Guys so I found out about this dude's existence this weekend when seemingly the whole internet lost it's shit over him. I read through tumblr and twitter threads with some snacks both amused and feeling sorry for his wife.

I agree 100%

For myself, I think it's partial nostalgia/the animation and design just being prettier than what was accessible at the time (say DBZ). And of course, I loved the storyline. But Sesshomaru AND even his dad, Taisho, were both gorgeous. And Inuyasha was cute.

I really love this image choice (is this from the new show?).

On an episode of Mindhunter, the agents are driving along a random street, when a random car crashes into them. It doesn't have much to do with the overarching plot, it's just a moment that shows how stressed and short on sleep everyone is. But from that point on, I got nervous every time they were in the car... They actually had a lot of jump scares like that, aimed, I guess, at increasing the feeling of paranoia that starts rubbing off on them after interviewing all those serial killers. But yeah. It worked on me.
