I'm having a brain fart, should I have written 'what season of what show' as 'which season of which show'? Bleh. Well, whatever. You get the gist.

Of shows where I actually watched the whole season, season 6 of Supernatural was so awful it made me quit the show.

I will always stand by the fact they could have ended with S4. They could have ended with Death (4Horsemen arc) appeared. We could have stopped. And I say this as a fan. But they just had to keep going.

I really like season 5. I think the should have ended with the original plan. 5 seasons and the story is finished.

Obligatory GoT season 8 mention

Agreed! But worth mentioning I don’t watch much of anything. I think I’ve seen maybe ten shows from start to finish in my life. S8 was so bad in so many ways but I wouldn’t be surprised if there were bigger disappointments out there.

Season 3 of NBC Hannibal, I'm so sorry to the fandom but I just couldn't do it anymore. It got so on the nose about how indulgent and pretentious it was I couldn't keep watching. Instead I skipped all the way to the ending of the series and left it there.

with the exception of the finale, the last season of The Big Bang Theory was a chore to watch.

Sherlock S4. They should've stopped with the pilot. Then we could have lamented about the brilliant show we could have got.

I actually haven't seen Sherlock S4, because I thought S3 was hot garbage and I noped out after that. But given that S4 appears to have gotten substantially worse somehow, yeah, I'm gonna put my vote in Sherlock S4 too.

I'll admit that the problems with S1 and S2 have become increasingly more apparent over time, but I do think if the show had been cancelled after S2 it would still be remembered by the majority of viewers as "That awesome show that got devastatingly cancelled at the worst possible time and we're NEVER getting over it."

LOL, agreed. I saw the pilot and though well, a bit rough but it's got promise and looked forward to more episodes. And then I actually saw the later episodes. People are prone to saying how good season 1-2 was, but honestly, I think those earlier seasons mostly look good because the later ones were awful. IMO, they still weren't great.

Right???? I totally agree with this. The first episode I saw was Scandal In Belgravia and I hated it at the time (which was good tbh because it meant I never really got fully into Sherlock). And even Sherlock fans seem to think that Blind Banker is no good. Honestly, I think what people are remembering is really pretty much just the pilot and the 2 Moriarty episodes.

And even those episodes have some pretty dodgy stuff in them honestly. There's that whole sequence in the middle of the pilot when the taxi driver shows up that I think is really clumsily done.

Yeah, in retrospect Sherlock was mostly bad. Even when it wasn't outright dogshit I wasn't really ever impressed, just waiting kinda for it to get better... which it never did.

Season 2 of Friday Night Lights is so hilariously bad!!! OMG It was like a fanfic writer took over the show for a season, including leaving the story super short and unfinished. I love Season 2 so much for being such a hilarious season. And what makes it even funnier is the rest of the show for the most part is pretty solid, last two seasons were SO good.

Matt Smith's seasons of neWho

I think every single season since Matt Smith has been worse than all of his seasons. Maybe not the last Capaldi season with Bill?

I really disliked the Matt Smith eps too although I'm not the Dr. Who veteran a lot of people here are.

Really? Worse than Chibnall deciding the Doctor would be pro-Amazon?

Star Trek Discovery Seasons 1, 2, and 3. Just pure garbage. Badly written, badly filmed, badly acted, without any redeeming features. Not that subsequent season was any good, but they at least tried to hit the undo button. They are the worst seasons of any Star Trek, including S1 TNG, S1-3 ENT, and 1-7 of VOY. That is how bad they are. I'd rather watch a back to back marathon of A Night In Sickbay and Dear Doctor than any Discovery.

Much worse, at least S1 TNG has a certain camp value.

Season 4 of Miami Vice is ridiculous and terrible. The plots of some of these episodes are utter nonsense, and I'm really confused as to what made this happen.

Last season of Voltron. Oof.

season 7 of buffy was hot trash, with the cast and crew demonstrably not giving a flying fuck about anything that happened at any moment (season 6 was ugly, but at least the people involved appeared to care about it)

martha's season of dr who - the whole "pining after somebody who's pining after someone else" thing got old within one and a half episodes
