I'm tired of posting fics and barely getting over 100 views, or the rare comment/kudos. I know that my fandoms tend to be small and niche and the ships I write for are infinitively small compared to the major ships, but it's frustrating that I need that feeling of validation to continue. I wish I could just write without a care like I used to but executive dysfunction also makes a contribution to this frustration.

huh I was about to vent along the same lines.
I still have motivation to write but none to edit and publish. Also to lazy to transfer my works to AO3. A result the works I end up publishing are short and simple. I do not get much feedback and I even delete it sometime so I don't have to see 0 comments on my screencap strip thingy I think is hilarious lol. I can see it on my PC without zero feedback to make me sad.

I'm so glad there's other content creators that feel the same. I ended up deleting said fic just now and while I might continue writing it for myself I don't need to see zero feedback that just continues to make me despondent and unmotivated.

When I write in another language, I make a point of disabling comments because they make me extra awkward/paranoid but also because I don't want to deal with "aww 0 comments".

Question for you - if domebody was reading your fiction through Google Trandkate, woikd you be okay with a comment from that person written in another language?

I am ok with smaller interaction in small fandoms. But sometimes it gets just overwhelming. Getting one like from your mutual is just isn't worth uploading my shit really
