I never understand why people watch shows just for shipping while admitting that the show itself isn't very good. Except I'm sure I do it myself sometimes and I just don't realize I'm doing it.

Me too.
I cringe so hard when people are all over some shitty show just because shipping.
Still one of my fandoms was quite a bad book(s), but I loved some elements of it and fanfic writers were really good, much better than the original writer.
