Re: Secrets you don't want to make...

I'm starting to think that Thai BL fandom has no standarts. Don't get me wrong, there is a fair amount of shows I really like, but it's mostly for the actors and their chemistry. I think the writing in most of them is garbage. Meanwhile my timeline basically writes hymns about how they're all amazing somehow? And I do get that it's part of fandom to read way more into things than the creators ever did (love a good meta), but I'm starting to be really weirded out by all of the praise.

I don't get it either. The deal breaker for me IS the acting, though. I keep seeing gifsets that people gush over about how sexy this random show is and what great chemistry, but when you look at it 99% is dudes who are getting paid to kiss each other but seem to want to make sure that no one thinks they're gay. The kissing scenes and sex scenes are so bad; very little skin-to-skin contact, all closed mouth kissing, like they can't wait to get away from each other. (Except you, KinnPorsche, you're wonderful and it's a pleasure to have you here.)
