Er... disagree. Some of it is just bad. CGI I'd supposed to work with our suspension of disbelief, but if it ends up unintentionally working against it, it's bad.

I like this idea! I can see myself doing this for some hurt/comfort fics that seem excellently written but are just too bleak for me with a long “hurt” portion before they get to any comfort.

Uh, no. I do think that CGI is just as good as practical when done right. And practical can be just as bad as bad CGI when not done well. And some of it, to a certain extent, is subjective. But there is bad CGI.

This explains perfectly why the argument makes no sense. I guess Keanu Reeves did a fine accent in Bram Stoker's Dracula, it's just our fault for not being able to imagine it.
