The idea of ME being pregnant is horrifying. But I am also a cis ace woman, so mpreg is so far removed from me that I have no problem with it. It's the way some authors make a formerly awesome character go baby crazy that I can't stand.

My feelings on mpreg are weird and complicated, but I second your entire comment.

Same! Sure giving birth should change some character traits l, but not on THAT scale

Man, THIS. It's offputting when it's a cis woman going 'crazy' with baby whatever, but when you shift it onto, say, a hardened assassin or something? Hell to the no.

In general, I find any and all baby and pregnancy and kid-stuff in fic to be insufferable, annoying, or offputting. I can only think of one or two examples where I don't mind it, but that's it.
