I freely admit I have four versions of it in my music library and am seriously considering adding a fifth.

Ave Maria is just gorgeous.

Carol of the Bells is great. I love every version.

And Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt is the best version.

Carol of the Bells #1 first place no competition.

I also love the ones I don't rember strongly from childhood: Baby it's cold outside, Fall on your Knees, and God Rest ye merry gentlemen.

A lot. For some examples: All I Want for Christmas is You, God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Santa Baby, Little Drummer Boy, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Walkin’ in a Winter Wonderland, It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, The Christmas Song, probably more. I also like What Child is This because I love Greensleeves.

As for secular, I'm a sucker for "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". It's just such a lovely composition, even if the lyrics are kinda cheesy. And I could listen to Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas" on repeat for probably hours.

The Carol of the Bells is my all-time favorite, though I do like a lot of the old Xmas hymns we used to sing at church when I was a kid. Mostly for that rush of fond memories and nostalgia.

Things like 'Gloria in Excelsis Deo', 'O Holy Night', 'O Come, O Come Emmanuel', 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing'. The religious aspect isn't important, just the remembering.....

"30 Days", "Nothing for Christmas", "Christmas Saves the Year", "Campana Sobre Campana", "Silent Night", "La Marimorena", "Arre Borriquito", and "All I Want for Christmas is You" (both the Mariah Carey version and MCR's cover).

O Holy Night is the all-time no-doubt best Christmas song. TBH I don't really like most other Christmas hymns that much, they're usually just so repetitive.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is the best of the Boomer-era Christmas songs, and I also like Let It Snow and Most Wonderful Time of The Year, they just *feel* the most like Christmas. And then Christmas Wrapping and Fairytale of New York.

I got burned out on Xmas music in general when I worked retail (it's been 2 years, but I still cringe whenever I hear the more overplayed stuff). That being said, Father Christmas by The Kinks and Christmas at Ground Zero by Weird Al still get me going. I guess I need something a bit un-Xmasy to really get into it lmao

Traditional- Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Angels from the Realms of Glory, In Dolce Jubilo, Gaudete, I Saw Three Ships

Non-traditional - The Waitresses Christmas Wrapping, Eartha Kitt purring out Santa Baby, Rocking Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee
