I don't think you're romanticizing the shows from when you were younger. I think there's definitely been a shift post-pandemic in behaviour, partly because there's this sudden influx now of young people going to their first real show (ie. not The Wiggles or Disney On Ice) with no clue how to act. It only takes one person to cause a problem and ruin it for everyone around them. Swell Entertainment has a pretty good YouTube video about post-pandemic concert behaviour, if you're interested.
