It’s almost as if you never had a point and are just continuing to prattle on in spite of that. You have no more evidence that OP scrolls on respectfully than ayrt does that OP goes out of their way to get annoyed by cosplay. But you pretend that your theory of how OP goes about their business is more likely or is a fact, and act smug to people actually engaging with the text of the secret. Unlike you, who’s only going off of an assumption. It’s still an assumption to act like the secret goes the other way too, but unlike the people you’re patronizing, your’s isn’t one that’s actually founded in anything in the secret.

Tagging isn't "expecting other people to take responsibility for you", it's common sense. And blocking tags IS trying cultivate it yourself. If you are in a cosplay-heavy fandom, the only way to avoid it is not looking at any fandom spaces at all.

The thread OP might have been defensive, and were a bit harsh as a result. But they’re still in the right for feeling that way. Because cosplay is a harmless hobby that hurts nobody. Some miserable people just can’t stand to see people have fun in a way that they don’t like. So instead of taking accountability for themselves and their own actions and tailoring their online experience so they never have to see cosplayers, which works, they have to make their miserable mindset everyone else’s problem. OP can hate cosplay all they want. And it’s possible that they ignore cosplayers on their own time instead of being nasty to them. But when you put out such a rude and judgmental secret about an innocuous hobby that brings many people joy, of course people are going to react not so positively. It’s asinine of you to act like it’s the fault of people for not reacting to the secret with complete praise instead of the fault of the secret author for phrasing their secret in such a judgey and negative way, and then sending it out to be read in a public forum where anyone is allowed to react to it however they wanted. At some point, people need to take responsibility for their actions, and the one who would need to do that above all else would be OP. Or they would if they were the ones being up in arms that people reacted to their secret in a natural way. Instead, it’s an overly involved third party who wants to pretend OP has no blame for anything. It’s sad that you’re still here trying to twist reality in a way that somehow favors OP for insulting an entire community of hobbyists. But no, you’re the only one living in that delusional world. And before you say(again) “It’s a secret, those are supposed to be something you wouldn’t say to someone’s face or something that could be shameful”. OP is “saying it to someone’s face” here. They’re insulting cosplayers in full view of a community that has many cosplayers. People are well within their right to react to that negatively.

You’re ignoring where I said it wasn’t provable for either side. And the fact that your only attempt at a counter argument is “sure, I have no proof. But you don’t either”, when I never said there was proof of either is very telling that you’re full of shit. And even if there’s no definitive evidence that OP doesn’t stay away from cosplayers, it’s in the tone of the secret itself being insulting and dismissive. I never said it was a fact that they go out of their way. But it’s just as likely that they don’t than otherwise, especially because of the hatred they have for it being more than someone who never sees it.

It’s common sense to tag just like it’s common sense to avoid tags you don’t like. Wanting everyone to tag everything they do instead of you just avoiding the broader tags that are actually intuitive enough to use is expecting for people to take responsibility for you. Most cosplayers tag their cosplay, and will tag the fandom. Sometimes tag “-insert fandom- cosplay” to cover their bases. That’s all they need to do, but you’re acting like that’s not good enough. Ayrt never said people shouldn’t tag, because how else were they suggesting for OP to avoid cosplay tags and take responsibility for themselves?
