Not that I'm against that but what do we wanna bet that this anon has not ever punched anyone, let alone a single Nazi in their life?

As someone who threw the first punch a few times in high school, I too would punch a Nazi given the opportunity.

Good question. Not sure I really have any specific ones, just "do less of this bad habit" kind of thing. But I've been doing that since the middle of this year, so if there's any resolution, it's just "keep it up."

Get out of debt (only 9k left!) and try and actually finish a fic, any fic, instead of just starting new ones all the time.

- Read 12 books
- Crochet 4 objects
- Bake 4 new things
- Play Switch 2 hours a week
- Work on book 2 hours a week

I try to keep realistic goals. Lol.

I need to play more video games too. Maybe "need" is an odd word but I have so many I haven't played.

Write a third book, mostly!

No big ticket resolution, but I have a list of "23 23s in 2023" - ie. 23 things I want to do 23 times in 2023. It's stuff I either want to do more of (like read books, listen to new (to me) albums, donate to food banks) or want to make sure I keep doing on a regular basis (various exercise things, trying new recipes, writing).

I also have a list of 101 things I want to do (at least once) next year, which ranges from big stuff like renovate the outside of my house to small stuff like have a nice cup of hot chocolate.

Stop spending money on things I don't need. For example, not using Instacart. I don't have a car so it's very convenient but I can go to the store myself with my pushcart. Also taking public transportation instead of Lyft, and not ordering food from Doordash. I'm going to have to do more than that to live within my budget but it's a start.

It's hard though because obviously there may be times I do have to do those things and I'm going to have to still have self-control not to start doing them all the time again.

Hit an average of 7 miles a day for the year again. I managed it once, and I managed it most days this year, but not enough to hit the average, especially not since I took chunks of time off walking for exercise at all, like when I caught covid.

Also I dunno, I'll be 40 this coming year and I've never managed it, but maybe 2023 is the year I finally get a diagnosis/handle on my executive dysfunction so I can do stuff like clean my fucking house. Of course, that's only if my slug brain is caused by ADHD and not one of the many, many other things it might be, and also that I get a) prescribed meds and b) they actually work.

It's hard because I have a house and a full time job and pay my bills on time, so even though I'm also a slob and hoarder and anxious mess, I'm not seen as bad off enough to need immediate help.

And being told to call back in a month to schedule my first psych appointment three months after that, because everyone needs help and there aren't enough therapists or appointments, is hell with the aforementioned executive dysfunction. I tried for something like nine or ten months to get an appointment after my initial eval, and no dice.

Everything was always full by the time I got through, and they'd say to call back when the next bookings opened in three months. And that was pre-covid, I'm sure the therapist shortage and number of people who need help is worse now.

Also ffs I need to fix my sleep schedule! Staying up until (or waking up at!) 4:00 am is not compatible with my full time job, especially since my new work schedule will have me coming in at 9:00 am every day and not just half the week.

Felt that. Best of luck.

Read all the books I bought that I haven't read yet
Exercise 6 days a week for 35 minutes a day
Eat more vegetarian/vegan meals (I'm at 3 days a week now)
Drink less alcohol

I think a friend that has stopped talking to me over a difference of opinion may be shown the doorway out of my life for good.

Continue working on dealing with the trauma of surviving the unrest in Minneapolis way back in 2020. This is going to take a long time even with actively working on it.
