Power fantasies and the urge to make everything about one's own anger are not exclusive to men, as it happens.

Shrug. A lot of fiction is about exploring feelings in a contained environment. It's only when you let that bleed into the real world that it's a problem.

And power fantasies almost never bleed into the real world because of a character. Someone who would shoot up a school may identify with that kind of character, but identifying with them isn't going to be what makes them decide to do the shooting.
