Spoilers for Deltarune

I read a comment saying that Berdly is going to be irrelevant since he dies in the Snowgrave route. The thing is, I completely agree, and I hate it. I hate the idea that he'll just die, and all the other characters will just forget about him, and no-one will even care that he ever existed. I really feel like this is what's going to happen, and when it does, I'm going to turn into a pillar of salt.

It's also making me dislike Deltarune as a whole.

I don't care about Berdly one way or another, but I can see how annoying it is to have it strongly implied that a favorite has outlived (no pun intended) their relevance very early on in a story.

I wouldn't think he'd just be forgotten entirely though. I'm guessing he'll just be like other NPCs in town (if living), or mentioned by other characters with minor changes in dialogue (if dead). But then, I'm not the storywriter so I could be wrong.
