I think Stitch is they/them. And yeah, they were awful to Finnpoe shippers too.

That villain piece was not well-written and very contradictory in places, and it really sounds like they're still stroking that Reylo hateboner - but TROS was three years ago, a long time for their target audience, so they're desperate to seem relevant by trying to force some more recent ships/characters into that Reylo formula, and to do the same with some older fandoms too to seem historically grounded, regardless of whether they fit or not. And they mostly don't.
