Get medical help finally. :/

Whatever's holding you back (no need to disclose at all! but do share if you want) I hope there is some way you can work past it and get the help you deserve.

My anxieties are main reasons as to why I haven't gotten professional help for my mental health (and I know I'm being my own enabler here). I'm really hoping to make some progress this year myself. I don't know what "make some progress" means, but that at least is something I feel I can realistically work towards short term.

Good luck and best wishes!

Thanks!

What's been holding me back is I'm American and low-income. The only insurance I could *barely* afford wouldn't cover anything but general "normal" doctor visits twice a year, pretty much, until I paid about $7000 out of pocket. As if I had that.

But with having acquired full-time employment two months ago, I now have decent insurance, and I mean to use it, if I can actually find any specialists with openings. (I hear there is a huge medical backlog in general.)

AYRT

Great to hear that for you! I've had to navigate no/crappy insurance coverage in the US as well. I'm glad to hear that you have access to better coverage!
