The "ears ringing" for me is more like... going inside an underground tunnel with pressure, or diving underwater.
It's like getting a hit of adrenaline/endorphins, like when you exercise really hard until you're exhausted but then gain a sudden burst of energy, or drink something cold and fizzy.

It's definitely more noticeable during a really good orgasm, but it can happen during kissing, or when you're physically close to someone you're really really into and your body is having a physical reaction but your brain hasn't caught up yet.

Please don't think there's anything wrong with you if you've never experienced it. I'm a very sexual person and it's still rare for me. Someone earlier mentioned low blood pressure and I concur, I have low blood pressure as well. So could be related to that. I faint easily.

Or you could be ace like you said, nothing wrong about that, I just mean that the feeling isn't a typical response to getting kissed (I think) but it can happen.
