... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

I recently picked up Persona 4 again after not touching it because it used to be something I shared with my ex best friend. I was afraid that I would be put off or “triggered” to remember things about her while playing it.

I’m having more fun with it than I ever did.

Not even her favourite character (Yukiko) reminds me of her anymore.

S!b: it’s been six years I should be over it but the way she treated me and spread rumours amongst our friends about me make me feel I was justified to avoid our shared likes for a while.

I just watched Allen Leech in "As Luck Would Have It" (a frankly ridiculous Hallmark movie). I cannot separate that man from his Downton Abbey character, so OBVIOUSLY this has lead to a fusion sort of head-canon that Tom Branson of Downton Abbey was secretly brewing whiskie in the garage. Obviously, this means that drinking (medicinally! for shock!) was secretly a huge part of his courtship with Sybil. She convinces him that this is his true calling, that he should really devote himself to it - expand! modernize! export! It follows that, once he gives notice and becomes successfully independent as Branson, the Brewer Magnate (who sets up his business in the home country and makes sure a hefty percentage of the profits secretly go to fund the rebellion) he's way more acceptable to the family (who also as we know totally need new cashflow; also, that way they can pretend that Sybil's ideas about modernizing the estate to include a hotel are totally from a successful business man and thus totally the thing to do). Thus, OBVIOUSLY, Sybil gets to survive her pregnancy, and everyone lives [responsibly drunkenly] ever after after.

I love Frodo/Sam in the movie, but I've never shipped the book version. Honestly the stark class distinction is much more obvious in the book and while they are clearly close friends, Frodo definitely does treat Sam in a way that makes clear the class difference is intrinsic to his understanding of the world. So I think book Sam deserves better.

[Fandom: KinnPorsche; Build Jakapan Puttha]

This latest scandal makes me feel vindicated in my dislike of him, as an actor. I felt he was the weakest of all 23 non-supporting actors on the show and definitely
of the main 6 (some of whom had never acted professionally before). He was fine in most scenes, but looked vaguely disgusted/detached in the gay sex scenes.

S!B: A selection of his fans blame all of his shortcomings on everyone BUT him and they would crucify me.
SS!B: I'm probably being a jerk. There's no correlation between being an asshole and being a bad actor.

I think I'm just going to ignore all celebrities from now on and just care about the roles. Every single one of them is turning out to be terrible, even the ones like Mark Hamill who always seemed just plain nice and unproblematic.

I'm honestly happy that Reid hasn't come back this season of Criminal Minds, and I really hope now it has been renewed he isn't back next season. It isn't that I hate him, but he's so overrated. And too often everything got centered around him because he was the fan favorite. I'm happy others are getting the chance to shine.

The DCU fandom being up in arms about Cavill not being brought back just baffles me. Admittedly my major issues with the DCU Superman are mostly about the writing. But Cavill was a flat nothing, and that in no way helped.

I've never liked the concept of the infinite multiverse, no matter the fandom. I always hated those episodes on Star Trek, hated them on Stargate, didn't like them on Doctor Who, and now I'm not loving it in the MCU. They only multiverse I've ever enjoyed was Sliders.

It is cool that the new Doctor is a black man. But his companion is still a very young, pretty blonde girl. I don't think RTD has changed much, and I'm honestly worried about how he's going to write a black Doctor considering how he wrote Mickey and Martha.

I used to be really into the Simpsons. But now the only episodes I ever rewatch are either Halloween episodes or Sideshow Bob episodes.

Eagle of the ninth has everything I love: historical(ish) drama, borderline textual relationship, great fan works to look through...

But for the life of me, I can't help but be turned off because Channing Tatum plays the main character in the movie. Something about Channing Tatum reminds me of a potato, and I just can't watch anything with him in it.

I LLlove that they rebooted Leverage, and I'm really enjoying Leverage Redemption.

I also think it's better off without Timothy Hutton, and not just because of the SA accusations - his arc was well and truly done by the end of season 5, and backtreading over it would have just cheapened Nate's character growth.

The secret? I wish there was someone with the acting chops of Timothy Hutton still on the show, with a character arc that brought some gravitas to the show balance out the whimsy. I like what they're doing with Sophie, but it's just not there for me, yet.

I don't do m/f or f/f.
Not secretly misogynistic. Semi-secretly probably some form of asexual.
M/M turns me on. M/f and f/f does not, because I don't want to see 'my' body (type) having sex with anyone on a screen, or read about it in a fic.
M/M is all the smut and kink I love without the automatic cringing away because now I'm imagining what it's like if *I* were doing that.

while i am generally against plastic surgery, i don't really like thinking about or judging celebrities who get it or whether they got it. i think we should assume some level of artificiality in all public stuff, and the content creators who make their whole career over ~exposing~ this in the name of feminism or something...I think they're super gross, actually.

but my god I can't recognize ANYONE anymore. everyone's always two degrees different from when i last saw them and i HATE it.

Dream/Hob (from The Sandman) is my first slash OTP in the ~30 years I've been in fandom. Granted I've shipped other m/m (and f/f and m/f/f and f/m/m) pairings before, but the other two of my three total OTPs are het.

Some things don't change, though.

My ship catnip = moody, much older, alienated, obviously fucked up, magically talented asshole in desperate need of therapy x much younger ray of sunshine who doesn't understand what they're getting into by metaphorically picking the one frothing biting mangy old flea-ridden mongrel out of a litter of cute puppies.

Said sunshine also desperately needs therapy, only partly as a result of their relationship with Mr. Moody McBrooderson but mostly because of issues that drew them to Asshole Von Wtfiswronwithyou III in the first place.

I'm having my own personal Mandela Effect and I hate it.

I grew up in the Highlander fandom and I remember several fics using the word 'shirting' to describe Duncan MacLeod getting angry and yelling. I thought this was Scots/slang like 'cannae' and other words people would use in the fics at the time.

Fast forward decades later when I'm watching a TV show starring an actual Scottish actor and in one episode, he says "yeah, yeah, he can 'shirt' at me later," and I was like 'wow the scriptwriter actually used that language in their work!' Only for a friend to tell me he had actually said 'shout' and I had just misheard it. Cue me furiously Googling for evidence that other people hear 'shirting' instead of 'shouting' and use that in fic and such and I find *crickets*... It had never occurred to me that to 'shirt' meant to 'shout' but did I imagine all those Highlander fics using this word? I can't find any present fics or archived ones (the loss of 7th Dimension pains me) that use this word.

Did I imagine the whole thing?

The amount of anti- (slash) shipping posts from the aroace community under the guise of criticizing amatonormativity is making me, a fellow aroace, increasingly annoyed and uncomfortable.

The "why can't men be FRIENDS why do you have to see everything as romantic" in particular reminds me too much of homophobic fanboys in the 00s.

The pairing I miss most is McShep. There's so much great fic from the late noughties, but none of it grabs me anymore. The magic is just gone. :(

My favourite fanfic author of all time has just uploaded her work to AO3. I desperately want to rec her to my friends but I can't- because she can't write porn at all. The rest of her stories are exceptional, but the sex scenes make me cringe every time.

I'm saving up to get my favorite novel length fanfic printed and bound as a hardback book. I get to make font choices, illustrations for inside and design the cover art. It's possibly the most fun I've ever had.

This is a secret because it's going to cost $$ and I feel bad about the extravagance when everyone is struggling.

One of my favourite Fanganronpas (hint: a crossover) is getting a sequel this year, and I don't know how to feel about it. After the triumphant end the last one had, extending the story further just feels like it's going to crap all over that.

God help me, I'll still read it just in case it manages to pull this off; I'm just very hesitant, and I can't say so and piss all over the hype.

B!S: It does not help that the cliff notes of the original got a detail wrong, and it's so small that I'm likely the only one that that bothers. "This rule would play a crucial part in later mysteries" - yeah, no, I read the thing, and I can assure you it was not.
