The Closer, M*A*S*H, Sense8, Madmen, Shameless, Slings & Arrows.....
Jaws, Fifth Element, Auntie Mame....

Good endings are the best. I want everyone to be relatively happy and safe.

I loved the last MASH ep but I wish they had done a where are they now deal (and AfterMASH doesn't count. That show was terrible.)

What was it you liked about the sense8 ending, if you don't mind me asking? It's solidly in my "I wish they had more time to do it right, it could have been amazing" list of endings.

I liked that we GOT an ending, to start with - we nearly didn't. And while yes, they could have gone further/deeper, but in the time we had, they foiled the bad guys, got the groups we loved together, and everything basically ended up happy-joyful.

For a show like that? Which had SO MANY WAYS to go horrifically wrong and end on the most depressing, downer, awful way? It was INCREDIBLE!

Plus finally seeing a 'everyone is in the same room' moment (and Wolfgang/Kala/Rajan was icing AND cherry on that cake)..... It just worked for me. I long for upbeat and happy endings that actually make sense and tie up as many loose ends as possible, and while the overarching 'bad guys' of that 'verse were still out there, the ending on that front was hopeful and constructive, rather than 'omg, they're going to kill us all after we have this moment of joy', you know?
