I love tags and I personally, privately, find the refusal to tag pretentious (with very occasional exceptions). So yeah, for the most part I agree with this secret.

Also, when a fic genuinely is the kind of fic that benefits from remaining tagless, then IMO that in and of itself is basically it's own tag. Like, "Do not read this expecting to have your Id tickled and your dopamine receptors massaged," "It's not that kind of fic," "No seriously."

YMMV though. People can do what they want. I just don't read fics without tags unless the fic comes highly recommended by someone who is prepared to give me a little bit of context.
