Agree, tho I wanna know why don't ppl portray sexy vaping more. It has the stuff about smoking that is sexy (imo) like the oral fixation kinda shit w much less of the unsexy stuff like smelling awful and being an old ppl thing and getting cancer. So what's the deal

Lol. As an old person (35!), I find vaping extremely unsexy, sorry. My cultural conditioning is entirely for the cancer-stick-to-bare-lips form of smoking. The fact that it smells kind of ashy and harsh is also part of the appeal. As an elder Millennial, if I entirely ignore the part where both smoking and vaping are horrible for you, and focus solely on the ~vibes~, then from where I'm standing, vaping's vibe is...kind of douchey.

Obviously none of this is based on anything objective or rational. The fact that both vaping and smoking create second-hand smoke that's bad for everyone who breathes it in is the actual primary "douchiness" here, and both forms of the habit are guilty of it. (Not that I'm trying to make smokers feel like shit about themselves. It is an addiction after all.)

I don't fond either sexy, but I associate vaping with furtive behavior. A cigarette is bold comparatively. You can't hide it, because even if you put one out of someone's line of sight, the smell is still there.

Really? A lot of the vapers I know are obsessed with making the biggest clouds possible. They're like human fog machines. Nothing furtive about that!

(Former smoker who switched to vaping here, both are my people, but vaping is not particularly sneaky unless you're really trying to be)
