Huh, I've never run into it untagged before. That would be quite unfortunate, yeesh.

I wish I could enjoy reading about rimming but I cannot get past how unhygienic it would be. I remember reading this article about some guy who kept getting Giardia because he would travel around the world and rim random guys... That solidified my disgust. IIRC the point of the article was that doctors didn't know enough about how to treat it because it wasn't as common of a sex act among straight people. I just kept thinking to myself, "Can't you stop doing this specific dangerous thing that has caused recurrent painful uncomfortable illness for you? Or at least just do it with only a specific partner?"

my cats had giardia when we got them from the foster-- I'm guessing the whole litter did.

I did not even imagine until this moment that a human could get it and if I wasn't squicked by rimming before THIS would absolutely do it
