NAYRT, but with the part about a man posing as a trans women to go to women's prison, I think they were referencing Isla Bryson, one recent case that prompted Scotland to temporarily stop sending men convicted of raping women to women's prison, pending further investigation.

I get that you're defensive because some people are absolute dicks about the existence of trans women, but there has to be a way to address what trans people need without making it harder for women to avoid being raped by cis men.

And "what's at stake?" and "what would a cis guy stand to gain by lying about being trans?" is more clear cut with gender-segregated criminals than it is with, say ... guys who take surreptitious creepshots of women and post them online.
