idk, I don't really care for that in fic when it's done with Christian themes because it's usually quite awkward; I have to think the same would be true for Islamic themes

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. Alot of the times its either the same cliche stuff that you always see or its just shoved in there to sound "deep".

It honestly depends on whether the themes get in the way of the plot. I hate preachy media, even when I agree with the message. But fantasy worlds created using and exploring real lore/legends/myths/cultures? Yes, please.
