My vacuum cleaner. I tried two no-brand ones because I figured it wouldn't matter but they both sucked. Now I have a brand name vacuum and the thing actually does what it's supposed to do.

I've always splurged on them too, but I have to use the kind that is designed for those with dust allergies.
