Splurge: Holidays

Save: Food and clothing. Food is unforgivable, really. I shouldn't be buying short-dated stuff, but I do (better short-dated steak than long-dated chicken nuggets, say I.) But clothing is allowable when it's from opp shops. Many's the high-quality garment I've bought for a few dollars from an opp shop, and it's low-impact environmentally and the money goes to charity too.

Save: most things, I really don't want to pay more than I have to for *things*.

Splurge: Stationery (I like pens that don't crap out on me and notepads with no bleed thrpugh) and shoes (because cheap, poor quality shoes are the fastest way to mess up your feet, knees, hips and back). Also butter, Kerrygold ftw.

All of the romance options in Persona 5 are optional so what does it matter if there's a gay one or two in there? If you can date his teacher, why not his BFF?

So agreed on shoes. I've been wearing the same shoes since I started this job in 2021, and they are totally worth the money I spent on them. Bad shoes are awful on your whole body.

Some Persona bros on the internet get so hung up on their idea of the protagonists as womanizing chads that they seem to forget that 1) not everyone plays that way, and 2) you don't *have* to play out every romance option! I hope we get a gay romance path in six both because I want one for like, the obvious reasons, but also because I want all these annoying dudes to shut up (and out themselves as fake fans if they try to say atlus is doing gay stuff for the first time lol)

Try not to let it bum you out too much! The comments section on gaming websites is always where common sense and productive discussion go to die.

As someone who ships Joker/Ryuji I wholeheartedly agree that that should have been an option. Your highschool protagonist can date his current highschool teacher! Dating your best friend (who is at least the same age) should not be controversial.

I also accidentally went with the Joker/Ann option on my first play through despite not shipping it because I the 'no' option felt too mean to me in the moment, so I feel this secret on multiple levels.
