I have no disability that I know of, but I don't like subtitles. I tend to end up reading them (or closed captioning) and not actually paying enough attention to the visuals on the screen, which are pretty important to the viewing experience. I wind up rewinding and rewatching or just missing things which makes for a frustrating time.

This is me! Subtitles just seem to wizz by and I have to pause the screen at every bit just to understand what's going on; only to get to a point where I might as well give up and go read a book instead to save myself the headache.

Same. And I love reading. But when I'm reading, I want to read. When I'm watching, I want to watch.
