Despite being 'overused' you still love to hear?

All Along the Watchtower. O Fortuna. Walking on Sunshine (singer doesn't matter, always love it). All Star.

O Fortuna rocks. I wish they would use other excerpts from it rather than just the first part though.

I love any use of Sinner Man in movies or shows. My favorite probably being in Scrubs.

Don't Stop Me Now is always fun to here.

On The Nature of Daylight by Max Richter is always a kick to the teeth (in a good way). Amazingly used in Arrival and The Last of Us.

Don't know about overused, but Cohen's You Want It Darker being used on American Gods was pretty inspired.

Bohemian Rhapsody

Clarity and Stray Italian Greyhound were overused in AMVs in the early 10s I think but are among the few overused songs that I don't get tired of so easily.

You know, I don't think I ever really get tired on hearing songs I like in things. I mean, if a song that's kind of obvious and cloying gets used in something that's otherwise really subtle and nuanced, then it'll feel like a sour note. (hypothetical e.g. Andor does not need a wistful montage set to Fix You by Coldplay; if that happened it would be terrible.)

But if the song and the narrative are even a halfway decent match, then I'm probably going to vibe with it.

Shout-out to Delicate by Damien Rice, which was used in everything and is somehow still so damn poignant. My favorite use of it was definitely in The Misfits, though. I LOVE how the way it was used both was and wasn't a subversion of expectations.
