Brought to you by an anon who threw out several old towels, sheets and t-shirts this past week.

Not yet, but I am planning on cleaning my room this weekend.

Will be throwing out the old, dead alarm clock since the new one came today.

I cleaned out my baking pantry and food pantry last month. Threw away a ton of expired stuff. Put some other stuff on the curb for free. Organized everything.

Two pairs of shorts and an old sweater. I should get rid of some more (and I have a lot more to sort through), but I'm taking it slow and really asking myself if
A. Do I even like this?
B. Do I even need this?
C. Do I actually use it/when was the last time.

Or just auto throw away lol. Clothing in good shape will be donated.

Donated a T. rex shaped cushion this morning. Hope it finds a new home quickly.

Planning on doing that tomorrow! Oh yay
No idea what I am going to toss out because I am a hoarder and proud of it. On the other hand my new paper-thin shelves are hardly gonna be able to store this much manga.

Not too long ago I got rid of so many books that I had accumulated over 10 years and was either never going to get round to reading them or had read them once, and just let it sit there to collect dust.

Next I've been meaning to go through my clothes pile for the past two months to either donate or use for other clothing repairs.

I usually have a huge clean out once every six months to a year on the solstices and toss out things I’ve not touched in those six-twelve months or not given much thought to. The good stuff goes to charities.

I refreshed my couch with new cushion covers, new foam for the seat cushions and a brace to go under the cushions. The difference is amazing. I love that couch, it was my grandma's and it's GIANT but that makes it difficult to find easy replacement parts. Like, I had to buy chaise lounge covers instead of the standard seat covers. That took about 300$ and several hours of work (mostly cutting the foam) and I'd do it again in a heart beat.

I need to go through my closets and get rid of the clothes I'm not wearing. I also need to get rid of the coats that didn't see any use all winter, but spring is a bad time to donate coats so they'll probably sit around until October.

What other overused songs in media have either taken you out of a scene or otherwise given you the wrong reaction because all you can think is 'oh god not that again'?

Bad to the Bone and Stayin Alive are both songs I love, but they are massively overused to the point I laugh if I hear them on screen.

How to save a life by The Fray, god but I have come to loathe that song as a lazy shorthand for emotional turmoil and/or a relationship ending.

What a Wonderful World in scenes showing something very not wonderful happening to the world. Yes it's meant to be ironic... in a sad way. Now it's not sad anymore, just dumb.

Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, good fucking lord that song is a meme in my own head. Like I love the song because it's really quite a nice ballad, but it got so over-used in every single teen/adult drama back in like 2000-2005 that even when I hear it now there's an 80% chance I'll burst into laughter and have to skip it because the moments ruined.
