(Anonymous) 2023-03-17 03:14 am (UTC)(link)I also work in finance, and we have two auditors: internal come through annually and external come through about every four to five years. I was still flummoxed though, because at my company we have to true up at the end of each month and there are about three departments that have to true up together, so if we're off by even a cent, we all know and have to fix it. The idea of missing a million is mind-boggling to me.
