I ship TOS Spock/Kirk like burning—they have SUCH good chemistry! They just read as deeply in love and deeply married! They’re so solid together I can’t really imagine them anywhere else (except with Bones, of course. A triumvirate on the bridge and in the captain’s quarters).

In AOS, however, it’s Bones/Kirk all the way. Spock to me is deeply boring in those movies, and Quinto just doesn’t have chemistry with Pine the way Urban does.

Quinto didn't have amazing chemistry with *anyone* in those films. Don't get me wrong; I think he's capable of chemistry, but he wasn't given a lot to work with. On the other hand, Nimoy had chemistry with everyone on TOS, up to and including The Enterprise.
