I'm not reading fic at this time, but I'm curious about what it's done (as I love this show). I'm guessing it has to do with Yuri and Yor ft. Loyd as the interloper.

Yes, he is. The show portrays him as basically obsessed/very protective of his older sister (since he saw her go through the wringer when they were kids). I don't read as incestuous (although I'm sure parts of fandom are all about it). It's more like no one is good enough for his sister/he doesn't want to loose her. So Loyd appears as an "interloper" in his relationship with his sister (i.e. taking her away from him).

But knowing fandom, it's probably what you're thinking.
