I really wanted to like this spin-off. I loved DI Goodman in Death in Paradise and I thought there was potential for something new – not a copy-cat, but a different feeling mystery show.

But good god, I think there are so many things wrong with Beyond Paradise. It just makes me frustrated and a bit sad. I’ll probably watch the final episode, but more out of morbid curiosity than enjoyment.

Also, I’ve liked some webcomics that have unimpressive art, especially at the start, so I get ya. It gets easier to look past that once you get into the story and characters, if they’re done well.
