Maybe try making a secret that is actually readable?

Maybe go and see an ophthalmologist? You might need help with your eyes...

This. It’s not that hard to read the secret.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-18 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Does it feel good? To be that much of a dickhead?

(Anonymous) 2023-04-18 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
DA

For some people, yes.

(Anonymous) 2023-04-18 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
You’d know, considering you’re not aiming this at the person who actually said the dickhead reply.

Instead you’re saying it to the person reacting to it.

Maybe try to not be a dick, and try to put even an ounce of effort into reading it. Because it’s not unreadable at all, you’re just lazy, and you want to make that someone else’s problem.

As we know, people without perfect eyesight don't exist.

Nice try, but I’m one of those people, and I have the glasses and several eye surgeries to prove it. That’s what the enhance tools on phones and computers are for, to help people see when the text isn’t immediately easy to parse. My points stand, despite your weak attempts at passive aggressive goalpost moving. The secret is not unreadable, you just have to use a little bit of effort to read it. Or ask for a transcript, as another anon said, which many people would be more than happy to provide. But instead of doing something normal like that, anon(which may or may not be you) choose to be rude for no reason.

And so your attempts to paint everyone reacting to their rudeness as the real mean people is silly. Don’t try to use people with eyesight problems in your attempted clapbacks, neither you nor the first anon speaks for all us.

And there’s nothing wrong with not being able to read something, or pointing it out that it’s hard to read. People do it here all the time. That’s why people ask for transcripts. Because while it can be hard to read a secret that has a lot of text, especially if the background image doesn’t help, there are ways around it like zooming in and transcripts. Criticizing a secret’s design is fine, if it’s constructive. There’s nothing constructive about “Try making a readable secret.”, it’s just unnecessarily rude. I didn’t call the original anon a dick because they couldn’t read the secret, I called them that because their way of getting that across was hostile to the secret maker. Who’s doing this for free to keep the community alive, and doesn’t deserve mean comments instead of constructive criticism. I have considered that using the word “dick” might have been too harsh, but it’s not because they weren’t acting rude.

If the issue is the text size, zooming in your phone/browser screen should help. If it’s the contrast — well, the secret isn’t going to win any accessibility contests, but just asking for a transcript typically gets a pretty good response around here.
