Oof, this one feels so MEAN. Like, whether or not they make it work... it's the kind of decision a lot of young people make, when they're optimistic and in love. At least these two have financial independence as individuals, which makes things easier whether or not they stand the test of time as a couple.

Honestly, though... like, I'm just happy she's engaged to someone her own age, and it doesn't matter to me one way or the other what happens-- whether they last or not, whether they even make it to the altar. That stuff has absolutely no bearing on my life and I can't really find it in me to get invested, it's just good to see her... like, not with some creep in his 30s that her parents allowed to have access to her.
