Carano wasn't fired for her political opinions, she was fired because she kept posting her political opinions on Twitter and stirring up shit. Unfortunately, Gina simply could not figure out that it was maybe time to stop posting about politics on Twitter if she wanted to keep her job. I can't really blame Disney for deciding that her role as Cara Dune wasn't making them enough money to make dealing with the PR headaches and negative publicity she kept bringing down on them worth it.

Adding to this, doesn't Pascal have a trans sister? I could imagine Carrano's tweets causing friction on set and it's not like Disney would choose her and her questionable opinions over their star.

And I believe she was warned before she was canned. And she didn't stop, so...bye.

And that's so unbelievable because she was lined up to have her own spin off. But I guess those sweet burns were worth it.

Literally all she had to do was stop publically being an ass and she would have gotten her own damn show.

She wasn’t fired at all. She’s been warned when she wa sunder contract from them and she kept things chill as a result. But a while after her contract ended she started posting polarizing content again mixed between promotional material for The Mandalorian. People were very upset to see Trump supporters being compared to holocaust victims between Cara Dune, Mando, and Baby Yoda pics and trailers for the show and Disney decided not only to not draw up another contract for her but also to let the whole world know she hadn’t been working for them for a while and never would again.
