We had a few brief but strong storms. Some of my plants took an awful beating.

It was okay. I didn't do much besides sleep. It was really nice to sleep, though. I really needed it.

Exhausting! My parents and I had an estate sale/yard sale on Friday and Saturday, and it was hot as hell and we all overdid it and are now paying for it dearly. We made a couple hundred bucks, though. I got pushed into selling my Pokemon cards to a guy for $50 when I knew good and well they were worth much, much more and had been planning on selling on eBay, and I'm still kicking myself for it and probably will be for a long time. They weren't even out in the sale! He asked if we had any Pokemon cards and mom told him I had a whole bunch and had me practically tear apart my closet looking for them, and then I just felt too awkward to tell the guy no and I just gave in like the wimpy pushover that I am. We really could used a big sale on those cards, too! As it is between all three of us we have less than $1000 to get through the month, and that's with the money we made at the yard sale! We've got huge bills coming out soon, too. Ugh, I truly hate myself right now, I really do. Mom and I still managed to have a nice Mother's Day today all the same, though.

On series 4 of Call the Midwife. I already have three secrets made.

Rough weekend as it's the first Mother's Day without my mom - she died in January.

I hope your plants survive! Something is eating all my flowers but so far have left my vegetables alone.

Not bad! Yesterday I was pretty lazy, spent most of the day watching TV and YouTube videos, read a little bit, and started to reorganize my closets, which I've needed to do for awhile.

Today I slept late and just hung around the house for awhile, then got lunch with my parents for Mother's Day, and hung out with my mom for awhile while my dad went to the gym. Now I'm back and debating whether to get some ice cream or get started on the laundry/cleaning I need to do.

I feel you on the storms! We had some and there was flash flooding here today. I don’t think anyone was trapped or anything though. But I live on a hill and the runoff from my yard devastated my neighbor’s landscaping that she has worked so hard on );

Mine was quiet. I did a fair amount of grieving for my mom, who passed away about a year ago.

Sad that Finland didn't win Eurovision

YEP, me too. But the cha cha cha song and chanting will live on to be one of the most iconic ESC moments.
I'm gutted about Germany, too. Lord of the Lost is a great band! They didn't deserve the last position. WTF Europe?!

I feel like Germany has basically taken over the "don't care what they do, we hate'em so zero points" flag from the UK.

travelled to my mate's place for a eurovision party - we used to do it every year but after an incident at one party and a bunch of covid related stuff we stopped for a while, so it was great fun to get back into it again :)

finland didn't grab me tbh, but then sweden didn't impress either (immediate reaction: "song's okay but i'm not sure loreen herself did it that well" - thought her reprise at the end was better)

estonia was the only song i thought i might want to listen to again after the event

uk sucked as usual - writing a song about "my boyfriend sucked so i wrote a song about how much my boyfriend sucked" is perfectly fine if you're taylor swift and the world cares about your relationships but it isn't a good idea for eurovision

absolutely great! Went to a goth event Friday night w/acrobats and dancers, had drinks with a friend Saturday and went to the movies with some other friends earlier tonight.
(in case anyone's wondering, I stopped answering the what are your weekend plans question because every time I answered it they'd get cancelled)

Eh. Still dealing with physical health problems so I was reading comforting things that I used to read in childhood.
