I disagree about the TV shows, because saying that the writing on the TV shows has gone downhill implies that it was ever good.

I agree about the movies, though.

I never went here but from the outside it always seemed like it had a very decent fandom at one time? Dead now of course.

A bit of both, probably.

I think it's natural that there's going to be diminished quality when you increase the number of movies coming out, spread things more thinly across a greater number of characters, put more of a workload on the production side, etc. And losing Chris Evans and (especially) RDJ hurts as well.

Did Matt get cast in something Batman related or how did that become so widespread? I assume the concept is that Neal is somehow related to the Batfam, possible a former Robin?

Not having seen any of them, I got the impression that Wandavision, Hawkeye and Winter Soldier & Falcon were considered to be pretty good?

I do too, but I can understand how he is a lot to take, like, damn, the dude's neurotic. And he makes so, so many bad decisions. It's like the writers look for the stupidest thing he can do or say in his personal life (and sometimes his professional one) and go, "Yep, that's it, that's Owen."

Just curious, but do you have an issue with it when someone is cast as a younger/older version of the character (like The Crown) or does your mind just accept that that's what they must look like at that age?

Apparently Matt was fancast as a few characters and fans went with it. So most of the crossovers I've seen have "Batman character was thought dead but really he's been undercover as Neal Cafferey the whole time" type of plot. I'm not super familiar with the Batman stuff, but I think Dick Grayson and Jason Todd are the names I've seen.

and Hawkeye was a disappointment but had some fun nods to the Fraction comics that I enjoyed. The rest I never even bothered with.

I don't know if anyone is still interested, but there's been an official statement about their stance on AI.

I'm kind of fascinated because there's people getting mad about not being able to report the fics/writers they suspect to be AI. I wonder how many would they accuse on bad writing alone (of course that's not counting the ones that would get reported for the sake of reporting someone they didn't like/false report).

IDK - if someone out-and-out says that they're posting an AI-written fic, I wouldn't have a problem with that being reportable.
