Shigaraki had some potential but last time I checked (which admittedly has been quite a while) he's basically just a character-less marionette for the real big bad and... meh. Meeeh.

I was never interested in his 'my hero mom abandoned me and my dad was mean so now I want to kill all heroes' schtick, but then he became even more boring when he became All For One's puppet. He now seems to exist just to give Izuku a moral dilemma/ create narrative tension when Izuku faces off against the big bad. The rest of the LoV are much more interesting than him and I'm disappointed they just got subsumed into All For One's forces.

Shigaraki as a character I've read is a point when I know I've reached the bottom of the barrel for myself but there's plenty of Shigaraki love out there. His fanon personality has him as a mostly anti-social mean crusty shit, and depending on the fic, a nice dollop of misogyny a la incel gamer.
