Re: Does anyone else have parents that are weird about the internet?

That sounds too annoying to deal with for me! We’re different generations and so are our parents so I can’t totally relate, but my parents always dismissed everything I shared with them. It didn’t matter if it was a fact or a personal story or a desire; it was automatically dismissed because I was the source. My mother (who was emotionally abusive and by far the worst of my parents) is finally dead and it’s somewhat better with my dad but he still can’t fathom me knowing something he doesn’t or wanting or valuing a thing he doesn’t. He’s wrapped up in his own little world and I can barely get him to acknowledge me these days so he has no idea that I’m about to move 1500 miles away. I mentioned some time ago about wanting to move to that place and he said no, I didn’t. But I do, so I’m going :D
