I thought she disappeared at the end of the season, between the main series and the Christmas special? I might be wrong though.

I vaguely recall hearing that she'd gone to train to be a nurse, but the actual line it was said in was cut.

They were my top band in 2021 on spotify. And I found them from The Witcher fanfic. People kept using lyrics in their fics so I was like, need to check them out.

Which sucks because the character she is based on the book has such a nice ending.

YES. I hate that they do this. A couple characters they've disappeared have had one or two line kind of sops tossed out to us, so we know they're not just....DEAD, but yeah.

... because people do that in real life too? Sometimes someone needs to move back home suddenly to take care of an ailing parent or they/their partner gets a job that requires them to move somewhere else or they decide that actually they were happier when they were living somewhere else, etc.

I guess I'm just not seeing why this is weird. It happens all the time IRL.

I always feel like beautiful high quality amazing works don't have room for me to fan, whereas mediocre shows have room for fandom to improve and expand on them. I like my fandoming to be character explorations and wacky paths off of dropped stories or throwaway lines or something.
