(Anonymous) 2023-05-27 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)No. Fossils of the Barbary Macaques have been found across Europe and on the British Isles. The current European population may be only in Gibraltar, but they once inhabited most of Europe.
Also, if you go back far enough, all monkeys are "imported" from Africa, so you have to draw the line somewhere for something being "native".
