I'm still astonished at how badly Reddit has handled this whole situation.

Even without lowering the API fees, it feels like just delaying the implementation and not communicating so completely poorly in every way would have solved 80% of the problem with the userbase.

Not accusing the apollo app creator of shit would've helped too. Especially since Apollo's creator recorded the call and posted it publicly to refute reddit's allegations. And the AMA the CEO did was just embarrassing. 14 cut and pasted responses that answered nothing. I honestly don't know what they're thinking.
