No one on the staff of She Ra was an anti, one of the staff made a joke about how Voltron's queer rep was non-existent/bad and ya'll got in a fucking tizzy over it, this bullshit narrative has been spread by your lot to justify hating fans of the show and the show itself as well as trying to invalidate the queer characters in it. And here is a prime example of what I mean: a shipper bending over backwards to justify a horrible story choice because it facilitates their own ship.

And no anon, I don't watch things that kill off queer characters because I don't like it, and it's not that hard to avoid. The Voltron showrunners went out of their way to be shitty and awful. But by all means keep defending them. :))

Both sides were awful but only one side actively harassed people who worked on Voltron and accused voice actors of being pedophiles to the point where one of them had to beg them to stop and it wasn't sheith shippers.

Personally I find stalking and harassing people involved in Voltron and threatening to leak episodes if they don't make their ship canon far worse than bog standard "waaahhhh shippers were mean to me!!" and it was klance stans who did that.

God, you reminded me how Josh Keaton was accused of sexually abusing his own kids by klance stans simply because he was neutral to Shiro being shipped with most of the Voltron crew. Weren't they also trying to dox him? That whole situation was so fucked.

Avatar: The Way of Water would have worked better as a TV miniseries, or even as a full season series. I just don't think its structure works as a movie.

In my own headcanon, junior officers being killed in Star Trek happened so frequently that even in-universe crewmembers call it "being redshirted". It is also why Starfleet Command shook up the department colors, to try and stamp it out, but it just made it more popular.

The one thing that no fandom community can ever survive is the fandom experiencing mass popularity. Convince me otherwise.

I hate being aware of the inequalities of the class system and capitalism. I used to love Wind in the Willows, now I all can see is the inherent unfairness in the stations of the characters. Godammit, I just want a simplistic quasi-fairy tale to enjoy.

I used to read so much stuff, but I've found I don't read so much these days. I blame Terry Pratchett for dying for this. It wasn't just his books, but Pratchett fandom itself was so well read, especially AFP, that you had to read widely just to keep up. I kinda miss being part of that group, even if it did mean I read Joyce's Ulysses because of them.

People say that geologists and geographers bemoan Tolkein's maps because they say they can never work, but you cannot tell me that some powerfan somewhere with a geology background has not found a way to make it work. People have found ways to make George Lucas' prequel planets be geologically possible, and you are telling me there is no way for a geologist to make Tolkien's? GTFOOH.
