Everything I've seen and heard indicates to me that both Klance and Sheith shippers were insanely terrible and bad, and it's pointless to say which was better or worse. They both sucked.

Yup, it was a classic case of a fandom having two big ships that constantly went after each other and everyone else not into them just trying to fucking live in peace. I don't miss that fandom at all, lol.

Both were bad, but not the same level of bad. Sheith had some shitty fans who ruined the whole fanbase if you want to view it that way, but Klance had ALL shitty fans. There was no decent fanbase to ruin. I am not even exaggerating when I say I only encountered two Klance fans EVER who were decent. Sheith was about 30/70 on the batshit/decent ratio. Sheith's batshit tended to be elitism and entitlement to their ship being canon, while Klance's was that plus doxxing, death threats, sending CSEM to Sheith shippers. This is not a both sides issue, and if it looked like that to you, it's because you only rubbernecked at the fandom without being in the middle of it.

No, no, you've got it all wrong. Sheith fans never did anything wrong, and even if they did, klancers did it first so it doesn't count. Sheith fans were all innocent victims of the evil klancers. Your friend was probably justifiably bullied because she didn't agree that the confetti at Shiro's wedding being red was a clear sign of executive meddling in the originally planned Sheith union.

Agreed. I had nothing to do with Voltron aside from my OTP also being on Tumblr's Top 20 Ships of the week and yet I still ran into insane Klance shippers and their antics. Did not have the same experience with the other ship.
