Yup, I agree. I do really appreciate the usefulness of the word blorbo, but it sounds so silly, even next to all the other fandom words that aren't exactly known for sounding dignified and cool.

And yeah, I too find "comfort character" infantilizing and twee. Although I don't mind "emotional support character" at all, I guess because it's implicitly tongue-in-cheek, with a touch of bleak, self-mocking humor.
