I think you misread what I said. I'm in the US, and I was trying to explain something about American politics to friends who've never been here and wanted to know what the fuss was about. It's equally fascinating to me that abortion access is a settled question, in their countries, and I'd love to know how that came about. But so far, I've had no luck getting an explanation for why it's like that because it seems hard for them to imagine that it could be so different, here. That people could get an education, reach adulthood, and come to such strange conclusions about sex and procreation.

I'm not mentioning it to put anyone on the spot on fandomsecrets, regardless of where they live or how backwards (or not) their politicians are. I'd prefer it if you didn't, either.
