I take your point that a lot of TV pregnancy storylines are brought on by RL pregnancies and those are probably gonna have to go to term, but vanishingly few abortions take place after the woman starts showing noticeably. You would not have to deal with that at all.

The nice thing about an abortion storyline is unlike a baby storyline, you can do it as a one-episode B plot that's over with in about three days, while getting in some good character/relationship development and h/c. (Plus you don't have to cast babies, which is always the worst.)
