I wouldn't be surprised if writers/animators just thought women were naturally hairless. It's like in The Walking Dead/any post apocalyptic setting. How do the women have shaved pits/legs??

Animating body hair is a piercing pain in the ass: that's why despite Gaston's boast, he looks like he's had a full waxing.

I was thinking the same. I mean how many men in cartoons or anime have animated body hair?

It might have been a comment secret and the picture a coincidence, but in the same game the girl in the image is from there's a teenage boy who runs around in a low cut tank top and shorts in the summer and he's as hairless as the girl in the secret.

There's also a beach scene with all the boys and we see at least one "manly" adult male in nothing but a Speedo and cape in the game and none of them have any body hair either as far as I recall.

I think it's fair to say that in this case it really is just animation convenience.

Yeah, not even women shave their arms (as far as I know) yet nobody is drawn with visible arm hair except for ultra hairy dudes having a few barlike curls.
