What is everyone doing?

It will be raining all weekend (hopefully). So I am hoping to spend the weekend crocheting. If I can find a good horror movie to watch, I might even get the narwhal done!

Enjoy your sleeping and reading! I tried reading LOTR once and I only got through half of one book. Fantasy is not my thing.

Fantasy is my genre, and Tolkien is my favorite author. I'm reading my dad's copy, so it is helping me feel close to him.

That's really sweet and I'm glad you have that. My mom's favorite book was The Hobbit and I've never been able to get into it. I've been thinking about trying again just to feel a connection to her (she died this past December) but I'm worried that if it still doesn't click for me it will have a really negative impact. I've discovered that grief emotions are weird and sometimes random. And anyway we have other books we connected over. But still, whenever I visit my dad I see her copy and think about it.

I'm so sorry about your mother. Grief is difficult and weird and totally random.

Usual gaming and cosplay stuff, possibly an outing on Sunday for some Pokemon Go. Also looks like 2 more buns will be joining me soon because the shelter is full, but... fostering. Yes, this time really fostering. Definitely just fostering.

I-I mean if 4 of the buns are two bonded pairs, it's not like either bonded pair is much more work than a single bun...

Do they spay/neuter the bunnies before you get them? Or do you just keep them separated by sex?

Fortunately this rescue does spay/neuter whenever possible, so both the girls I formally adopted last weekend and the two I am probably fostering are already spayed. The first one I got from them was an emergency situation where two dozen rabbits were caught at a site and they didn't have places to put all of them, so when I offered to just adopt one, they basically waived usual adoption procedures and even warned me "she may be pregnant, is that okay?"

(The rescue helped with trying to get her spayed a couple weeks ago, but long grotesque story short, the abuse and neglect she suffered made it impossible to spay her, and if she gets pregnant again, it will almost certainly kill her. :/)

I have a friend's birthday tonight, which I'm sort of grumpy about because I'm in a bad mood and tired and everything, but it'll be nice to see people. Also I might watch the Indy movie.

I have no idea. I know I have a list of things I should do but blahhhhhh.

I do have a pile of books I checked out of the library and the last two have been disappointing, so hoping the remaining ones are better.

I hope your books are good as well. I am currently reading a book right now that I am not sure I'll stick with.

Today's my birthday, but I thought tomorrow worked out better to celebrate, so we're gonna do dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, then get ice cream afterwards. The rest of the weekend I'm just gonna relax. Should be really nice. :)

Crying, actually. Rhythm games fandom is all fun and games until you break a finger just before the event you spent 9 months preparing for.

As if that wasn't enough, my first post-COVID con/cosplay is gonna be in a week. So I will be cosplaying/yelling anison lyrics at a much awaited concert with a broken finger. Hooray (not hooray)

The game one? About four days. The con? Just a week. Probably not enough time for my finger to heal, but I am doing what I can :(

Can't recommend any horror movies but, have fun crocheting! Sounds like a pleasant lazy weekend.

Yeah, no, it's more the "don't move that finger. Seriously, don't. Do you REALLY need to take a bath? Because it's better to pass on it if you can" days right now. PSA: don't rush to the toilet too vigorously, don't want bad health to bring even worse health
